Llorenç Tomàs was the first owner of the space and its builder, turning it into his workshop. Thus it was projected by the architect Andrés M. Calzada Echevarría (1892-1938), standing out among his works in Barcelona: the Madurell House in the street Provenza, 371 in 1926, the Tomas Colom Warehouses in Llull street in March 1928 and in collaboration with José Maria Jujol Gibert, the Palace of Labor (later of Clothing), in the Plaza de España, for the International Exposition of Barcelona in 1929.
